Why Luke?

We chose the Book of Luke because it provides one of the most detailed and comprehensive accounts of Jesus' life, from His birth to His ministry, miracles, and teachings, all the way to His resurrection. Luke is uniquely fitting for the season leading up to Christmas because it begins with the beautiful story of Jesus' birth, setting the stage for understanding why His arrival is so important to our faith. Reading Luke allows us to journey through His life and ministry, gaining a fuller picture of who Jesus is and why He came to us.

If you feel called to read another gospel—whether it’s Matthew, Mark, or John—please follow that leading! Each gospel brings its own perspective and insights into Jesus' life and mission. But for now, as we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we believe Luke is a wonderful choice to truly connect with the story of Christ’s arrival.
